Things to do

The Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher can be explored on a cliff path leading from Doolin to O'Brien's Round Tower.

The majestic cliffs rise to a height of 650 feet above sea-level and are home to vast colonies of sea-birds, fulmars and puffins.

The Burren

Doolin is situated on the doorstep of the famous Burren region, a virtual paradise for botanists, ornithologists and archaeologists.  The Burren is never out of bloom and is famed for it's wild flowers, tucked away between the limestone pavements which cover a wide area of the Burren.  Visit Kilfenora Cathedral with its High Crosses and Lemanagh Castle dating from the 1400's.  Travel on to see the Poulnabrone portal tomb and the many stone forts dating from 500 BC.

The Aran Islands

There are daily ferry sailings from Doolin Harbour to all three Aran Islands.  Spend the day exploring the culture and history of a unique part of landscape.
